18-Karat Gold Murakami Flower Pendant Fidget Spinner Piece Custom Made for J Balvin

Recently, the fidget spinner has officially been elevated to new heights. Ben Baller and IF & Co. recently blessed the world with our latest custom creation for Colombian reggaeton extraordinaire J Balvin, and it’s truly something special. It’s a gold Murakami flower pendant that’s covered in carefully selected colorful gemstones — and yes — this fidget spinner piece actually spins.

The Pendants

J Balvin wouldn’t be happy with just one gold Murakami flower pendant, so he had the team here at IF & Co. make two. One fidget spinner piece is crafted in 18K white gold and the other in 18K rose gold. Each pendant is diligently encrusted with a stunning array of multi-colored gemstones, including rubies, sapphires, and colored diamonds, with each Murakami spinner piece holding just over 9 carats of diamonds and multi-colored gemstones.

Both pendants also include matching, handcrafted 18-karat Hermès link chains to push each piece over the top.

The Inspiration

Takashi Murakami is a living legend. Once named one of Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People," his instantly recognizable superflat style has brought joy and inspiration to contemporary art fans worldwide for decades. Commonly recurring motifs in Murakami’s work include mushrooms, skulls, and of course the iconic smiling flower.

The Musician

J Balvin is an internationally acclaimed reggaeton artist from Medellin, Colombia. Since signing to EMI Colombia in 2009, he’s continued to top the charts. The artist has collaborated with pop music royalty, including Robin Thicke, Pharrell Williams, Sean Paul, Major Lazer, Rick Ross, Pitbull, and plenty of others.

When referencing his gold Murakami flower pendants on Instagram, J Balvin said, "I'm just a big kid, with nice toys."
