So yesterday the rain didn’t stop me or lots of people from coming to see my boy Estevan Oriol sell out whatever allotment of books he had there for sale and to autograph…. Lots of heavy hitters in attendance and CNN (not dubbCNN, but the real CNN larry king CNN) showed up to cover the event…. Joe Hahn, Bennie Boom, Danny Boy, Skinhead Rob, Joy Bryant, Nick Diamond, Rachel Sterling and many more showed up…
Me and Homicide got there early, but by the time I finished shooting some pics, all the books were sold out! damn… I love SURU, such a great location, I will be carrying my diamond IF G-Shocks there very soon….. but the night was all about the Homey Esteven Oriol and it was a great vibe. His pop’s legendary photog Eriberto Oriol was there too…. Soul Assassins always show up to support their fam’s events which I love (LOYALTY). So after flicking pics, me and Homicide cleaned up on their stock of Be@rbricks…. oh yes SURU is an official retail seller of Medicom/Be@rbricks… I had to get me some of those fresh ass Estevan Oriol x SURU tees.

man I been seein a lotta jibberish about my personal love life on blogs/forums being forwarded to me by friends, fans and lurkers, etc…. (Tila went out hunting for a sugar daddy, Tila’s doin this, Ben’s doin that…. the time and effort spent, even if it was 5 minutes? loser type shit, some things were lightweight funny, but some people are reaching too hard and to pathetic levels.
If you’re getting laid, you’re out having fun, you’re doing something positive with your life, you don’t have any jealousy or envy or hate in your heart, then you will overstand what I mean. I will be the 1st person to laugh at shit no matter how fucked up it is about myself. BUT nobody can clown me harder than I can. trust me….. My life is still a dream, I can choose to make it miserable or continue to make it greater.

FYI, I’m not dating Tila, she’s one of my best friends. I’m not dating anyone, I’m not even in that mode of chasing some snatch right now… I’m on a goal chase to make sure my cipher is secured and happy. I’m all about cleansing my seoul of bullshit. I had to change my phone # 3x this month alone and honestly it feels good because I would say close to 40,000 people(not a joke) had my # , but now if my phone rings, I know it’s definitely someone I want to talk to. It was about that time to detox from any negative bullshit. The last 5 days have been really good and honestly, for those who REALLY REALLY NEED TO REACH ME? like 911? I’m not that hard to get a hold of. You can call the store, or if there’s a will, there’s a way. If I don’t get back to you, it doesn’t mean I hate you, it means I just don’t feel like talking to you right now.

So anyways, I love how people DO NOT READ, but they love to look at pics and assume or misunderstand how I LIVE MY LIFE. I’m grown, I take full responsibility for my actions and I’ve never been afraid to admit blame. I live in a small condo, but in a nice neighborhood because I don’t need much and I used to have a 4 bedroom spot that was useless to me. I like having just enough space, BUT I love having nice cars, thats my thing; CARS! it’s been a passion of mine since I was a baby. I was a fan of the ferrari daytona and lotus espirit since the early james bond days in the 70’s…. thats just how I like to live. Now, I definitely chilled out REAL HARD after my b-day party(it was dumb to spend 20k in a night and it was all about graduating from that clublife, going out with a bang and acknowledging that I’m over that shit and it’s out of my system). I cut down spending on BS and slowed down this year especially after the baby news and I’m not mad at all. how could I be? I’m endorsed by the illest clothing brand that drapes me from hats, shirts, tees, jackets, pants, denim, underwear and socks, etc! I’m also endorsed by the illest sneaker brand and I get checks…. and I still like to eat well whenever I want to.

this is what is fucking funny to me. I never faked anyone out(not no girl, nobody) about my lifestyle and had anyone think I was perpetrating a fraud or fronting about unattainable amounts of cheese. (in fact for those who know me, may say I actually downplay it) I’m definitely NOT broke, but you know who is? ……. deezzzzzaaammm! wow! MAN how are you gonna ask your hyung for a loan for $10k you shipsekki? for an apt? and say it’s for your moms business, her small little cafe? don’t play dumb, it’s toooo late in the day for that. real talk. Lying and telling girls you got a trust fund? smfh. You pushing an old lexus IS/GS? Now, there’s nothing wrong with that, but you portray and project a totally different image…. just saying, my boy’s dad owns Dreamworks and pushes a prius, I’m very proud of those who do that(sarcasm), good for them but us koreans are NOT THE MOST HUMBLE PEOPLE. There ain’t a person on earth who has called me out on some chips and didn’t get taken for the pot. I keeps it 1000 for peeps. It’s like a deeper and deeper hole this person keeps digging. I’m telling you, leave well enough alone. Life ain’t about money, it definitely brings security in ways and convenience for sure, but I’ve said this thousands of times, I’ve been rich and depressed.
I’ve said all I can say…. in fact, I’ve said more than I can say. JESUS.

p.s. if you wasn’t really bumpin hip hop heavy in the super early 90’s you won’t get the meaning of the title of this blog, but you can google it and still not understand what it meant then….

anyways, when I need to seek for inspiration or motivation, there is 1 place for that guaranteed and it’s at Soul Assassin’s studios… between the ultimate level of grind and knowledge and spirituality spread out that spot, my mentor Mister Cartoon and my Big Homey Estevan really keep it gully with me. They’ve guided me through tough times, good times and real life situations… So it’s a good place to be. No lazy shit or kicking back going on there ever. Maybe some jokes, but it’s business 24/7 there. I went down there today to chop it up with my big homey’s, handle some business and grab a mister cartoon edition Metro PCS phone….. but as much and as many pictures as I’ve shown on my myspace, facebook, here on the blog; it’s funny how the 2 posters that are my favorite in the whole gigantic studio(close to the size of a small shopping mall, not strip mall, but MALL MALL) I’ve never shot these posters before… so I wanted to put them up.

with that said, he’s been a tastemaker for the past 25 + years in the game! for real… he got his first magazine cover around then… he’s a true LA OG, was airbrushing shirts at the Roadium swapmeet, painting murals on legendary cars, built the illest cars from the ground up, worldwide respected & infamous graf artist, has his own clothing brand, had his own Sidekick 2, supports the la raza to the fullest… feeds the poor & homeless, speaks to outreach programs & inmates in prisons…. has had his own shoes with vans, nike and timberland, has a graphic novel and feature film coming soon, documentary, the list goes fucking on and on. and most of you just thought he did tattoos huh?

well, anyways, I paid my bro a visit a couple days ago and he showed me some new shit he got coming out and also gave me 1 of each of them as gifts….
he has a G-Shock hitting stores this october and it’s a limited edition piece… and today he has the release of his Metro PCS cell phone coming out. He coulda did another sidekick or maybe even a blackberry, but he wanted something that was more attainable to his obvious demographic and the kids who look up to the Latin Icon….

SHOUT OUT TO ALL MY SOUL ASSASSIN, SKID ROW FAMILIA!

it’s been a few days…. yeh, I ate something bad and the shit put me out the game a couple days… you miss me? anyways…. I still had to make it to my big brother Mister Cartoon’s event. It was the unveiling of his new Billboard on Sunset Blvd. right on the strip and I’m fucking proud. There is nothing about me to say in this passage I’m writing (except for a comment Toons made about me. lol) because it’s my big bro’s day. I can’t tell you the countless gigantic projects he has coming up from his next shoe with Vans, Nike, new G-Shock, Graphic Novel, Film, etc etc… but this was for the new Fast & Furious movie coming out next weekend. Cartoon spray painted an original mural(14′ x 48′) onto a billboard(with the help of Revok & Toomer). the total job required over 40 hours of work, 48 cans of spray paint and used 39 colors in it’s design. I mean over 20 years ago, Toons was bombing billboards all over LA county, now he has had a few of his own… again this one is on the legendary Sunset Blvd. Strip.
Why do I show so much love? because the big homey has paved a way for me, given me too many wise words of true wisdom and led a path that only leads to greatness. What he has done for his not only his latin community but for Los Angeles, the west coast and hip hop is what makes his a living legend.

here’s a short clip of toons hoppin the 62 and at the end of the video he says “mister incognito huh?” which he always says cuz he thinks i’m being flashy, but I had on a couple diamonds. no biggie smh. lol

when it comes to tattoo’s, I’ve been very picky about who does them in the past 15 years…. before that, I had a very few tattoos that were amateur work done and it shows! so anyways, some of my ink was done by the following artists: mark mahoney, tom tilden and freddy negrete (all legends, literally gods in the tattoo world) BUT…
the reigning king is my big homey, big brother/mentor Mister Cartoon. I don’t get a chance to sit in the chair often with my dude, we usually get food, talk about life and business and shoes, lifestyle, cars, everything but tattoos…. so tonight, I hit the infamous soul assassins studios aka Skid Row’s finest cuz I had an appt to get part 1 of about 6 total sessions to finish my back piece. back pieces are serious business. it’s not just sit through 1 long session and get it done, but more of a time line and story of a persons life sometimes and much more. to me, it’s about the city of angels where I was born and raised and it will reflect my 36 years through a mural and when its all said and done, I can day, I have my back fully done by the internationally known Mister Cartoon. my arms and stuff have been done by him, but they’re mixed with the other greats mentioned above. Anyways, part 1 was to shade in and get the old Los Angeles block letters to have that real bold feel that toon’s does best! I was in the chair from 7pm to 10pm and most tattoo artists woulda taken at least 6 hours or more to do this much work. we even stopped for 30 minutes for some japanese take out.

wait til you see what’s next…. the whole process it going to be crazy when it’s done! and I’ll have better pics of this tattoo in a week or so when it’s fully healed. nobody’s tattoo’s heal faster then cartoons. no joke.

p.s. All Star was not all that. I’m not there for the games, etc… I’m there to get paid to make appearances and slang ice and be out. I got my workout in today and went hard…. and I haven’t even packed for magic or even cut my wig, shaved, etc…. so who knows. I’m exhausted.
right now it’s 60%/40% if I goto vegas.

So after the rollin around with drizzy and future, I was filling up orders for custom jewelry from Houston to NYC, etc….
had to head downtown to skidrow and to Mister Cartoon and Estevan’s studio aka S.A. studios aka Soul Assassins studio. for this XBOX 360 party for the new downloadable game Grand Theft Auto IV “Lost and Damned” . The special event was hosted by Soul Assassians studios and RockStar Games and of course along with XBox 360…. SA always has good catering and open bar Seen a lotta cool ass peeps in the house… my man DJ SKEE was djing the event, shout out to Rob Abeyta, Lucky, DJ Muggs, RJ, Rogue Status, Eric @ Zenetti and damn if I forgot you, sorry…. They gave the tastemakers and celebs who showed up a free XBOX 360 Elite!!!!!! but it gets even better, it’s a limited super rare edition one, they only made 190 of them! crazy! and I guess I fall into the field of tastemaker/celeb???? oh well. I then went and talked to Cartoon bout my tattoo appt. next week. and I’m a little unsure what I want to start first??? damn. are we gonna do the back piece? or not? I want to… so we’ll see.
