I check into my hotel, upgrade to a corner suite and shit is very official… the only spot I stay in Vegas is the Vdara and I love it because 1. they have the most official spa and 2. there is no casino which means, grown folks and no extra bs or hepatitis in the pool. oh and 3. they’re room service is very official!

anyways checked into the room and Franchise aka Cat Dicc Jr. was staying at Aria across the street, so he walked over and we headed into magic… now magic ain’t what it used to be and it declines in freshness each year since around late 2007…. I used to come to vegas for 4 days/4 nights easy, but now it’s 2 nights at most and that’s even a stretch…. it was 147 degrees outside and some taxi drivers had the nerve to tell homies of mine that they wouldn’t turn on the AC because they had to pay for their own gas(wtf? I wish a cab driver would)…. it was that desert heat that I mentioned before from my palm springs blog, but a little better because there’s so much to do in vegas, but really my head is screwed up because anytime it’s 95 degrees at midnight sucks!

so we walk in and Gully and Albie from L-R-G hold us down…. this time KR3W and Supra are showing downstairs at Project(the fancy part of the Magic) and so I’m upstairs walking and chatting it up with the regular street wear cats…. Black Scale, hundreds, crooks, 10 deep, young and reckless, undftd, stussy, famous stars…. so much of the same and a lot of people didn’t even show this year as the show gets smaller and smaller (most of the cool brands showed at Agenda a few weeks ago, so it was pointless for them, but some still definitely need to show face)

again, like a damaged digital mp3 file (a broke record really) shit ain’t what it used to be! Magic used to be packed to the fucking max! it used to be a 6 hour red carpet event for me and my bro Jonas…. it was always fun and lots of stories…. but the economy has kicked most clothing brands in the asshole and even took toll on vegas overall…. I had VIP hosts who were calling me telling me to book a table and if I brought a certain amount of peeps, they’d comp a bottle or buy 2 bottles and get 1 free (WTF?) but I’m not poppin corks like I used to, I agree with my boy Lil Duval when he says “it’s the broke peeps that are the 1st to spend now”

so we walk into Crystals and Louis Vuitton along with the rest of the entire mall is dead! shit is a ghost town! CD Jr cops a louis shirt and some jeans and we shake…. I see that Gucci Mane and Lloyd Banks and Juelz Santana and Birdman are performing each night of magic at Eve nightclub inside Crystals and I’m like damn…. shit’s got that bad that they have RAP acts performing at their 5 star(so called) nightclub establishments? a few years ago, if your jeans were a little baggy, you got escorted outside a nice spot, now they’re so desperate, they let their zero tolerance law of drugs and shit slide to make some bread(the american way huh?)……

so it’s hot as fuck, I go back to my suite and pass out for a few hours….
wake up and head over to TV Johnny’s suite at the Pallazzo for a small get together…. we chat it up about everything and Johnny’s showing his clothing line in his room to friends and clients of his…..

as I’m walking around, I see my fam Tal and he tells me, Yo if you are planning on going inside XS tonight, don’t, the owners Creative Recreation made it clear to the owners and management and anyone relevant related to XS nightclub that they don’t want me in there…. word? 4 different VIP hosts said they’d walk me in, no problem, the list goes on and on and I don’t want to get anyone in trouble, but peep game… FUCK CREATIVE RECREATION YOU BITTER BITCH ASS COWARDS! sad because one of the owners is korean and looks like he still eats dogs on a regular along with his gak du gee smh…. one of the fam over at Supra actually helped create CR8 Recreation, oh the irony?

So I’m not trippin, I see my OG homey of like 15 years Jermaine Dupri and fellow #SKAMARTIST is in the building and djing next door at Tryst…. so we chop it up for a sec and I see he’s with another one of my OLD OLD super old school homey’s Bree…. my homegirl Paris is hosting the night, so I chop it up with her and her fam… Her Dad is like, hey I met you at Paris’s house before right? You have those diamond teeth…. I showed him and Kathy my new diamond dice and they chuckled….. so Paris is like come with us to XS(don’t even worry, YOU’RE ALL GOOD BALLER!)… btw Paris is dating 1 of the owners of XS who I thought previously had an issue with me, but it’s clear that it was just the Creative Rectum cats who don’t like me…. I was gonna hit up the Poker Table at the Bellagio and see if there were any old familiar faces and order some food there, but I was too tired… so I ordered room service….

the Aria’s cafe is pretty much like most of the cafe’s in any 4 star or better hotel in las vegas “good enough” that’s it…. nothing can touch Bellagio Cafe still to this day

so me and CatDicc Jr head over to Magic and it’s the same shit again… except! this time it’s more crowded…. not saying much ever since they moved into a much smaller venue, but it was busier wednesday than it was on tues…. so I did my rounds again and this day I took at least 100+ pictures with fans and blog readers… I got love for everyone period…. for all of you who think my life in interesting, I think you should punch yourselves because I live a basic life….. but I do respect the working man and I have a bleeding heart for anyone out of work. “it’s not about being better than anyone else, it’s about being better than you used to be”

I did see a lot of cats wearing jewelry at the convention this year and a lot was wack and some of was decent…. but I was thinking damn I used to walk Magic with over a million in jewels on and security guards smh…. who the fuck did I think I was? Ben the Baller?

What random and boring weekend, but it was just what I needed….
Friday
me and my girl hit up our usual 2x a week hike at Runyon Canyon…. ate a healthy breakfast then got my day started and didn’t have to vomit from all the exercise…. YEEEEAAAYUHHHHH!

later in the day, I got to link with a homey of mine who I met off Niketalk and benballer.com back in the day who’s also down with the G.O.O.D. folks (ye, ibn, don c) and we haven’t talked in a long ass time! he copped a lot of OG 1 of 1 methamphibians back in the day and my guy Ian always dressed fresh, kept it consistent with the grown man steez and always pushed something less obvious… lol. He was in a new body Arnage this time smh lol…
We sat down at the Polo Lounge and I didn’t know what to expect, but he tried on a bunch of different things I brought and loved the quality, but decided to keep it G and went with a tight prong set diamond stud chain…

As we were having our lunch, it was pretty open inside which was nice, but I heard some girl screaming loud talking like she was me but prettier(not so much anymore smh) and that girl was Kimora Lee…. I remember when she was a seat filler for award shows and then when her and Russell hooked up and I was hoping she didn’t see me because she is 1 of very few people who could out talk me smh…. I’ll end this part of the story right here, because fucking just because haha.

Anyways, I shake out of the meeting late and decide not to head back to “IF”, but instead I decide to head home and watch as many episodes of True Blood as I can possibly watch…. I can’t believe I’m so late on this shit! I once channel surfed and thought this show was based during the 1800′s because of a scene I saw and some of the ads looked really gothic and old, but DAMN! they do bad on this show and get their major fuck on! other than that, the story is really good and I’m NOT into vampire shit…. I made some Tofurkey sandwiches for dinner which is my new addiction…. vegans/vegetarians have come a very very long way since garden burgers, etc… this really tastes like meat, so I’m substituting this for turkey or whatever meat I was eating in sandwiches indefinitely.

oh yeah… I finished making the matching diamond buckles for my boy Rex’s 16 carat (now 17 carat diamond g-shock 6900′s)

Saturday….
woke up to a tofurkey egg white sammich and some granola and yogurt (I’m really trying to lose 8lbs) and because I went to bed so early… I woke up at 8am WTF? man… for those who don’t know, I’ve been waking up around 7am to 8am for the last 3 months and getting a lot of shit done…. but never on the weekend am I up and about at 8am… I was kinda confused… but my girl wakes up this early every day, so she’s used to it. We head to go say Hi to moms in ktown…. grab some treats then head down to IF…. I check my mail and see my boy Ryan Loco has given me the illest gift someone could give me in the year 2009 (no joke)

Head back to the crib and decide to stay indoors because I’m too disgusted with myself at this point to be outside in public after spending that kind of paper on toys(could have bought that Nissan Cube fully loaded and some rims!)…. but I gotta tell myself the shit IS art and these are true art sculptures and are worth a lot of money and Kaws is done making anymore 4 foot companions for Medicom corp.

So we head back home and watch some True Blood and a movie I tivo’d called My Sister’s Keeper which is based on a true story about a family who has a daughter who has leukemia and decides to have another child specifically as a donor child to prolong or save the life of their daughter with cancer…. the donor child daughter gets keen to this and sues her family for medical emancipation and all kinds of shit breaks loose in the movie…. shit was emotional and I was like damn! 2 good movies in 1 day? lol

while I’m feeling like a complete dickhead for spending a lot of money earlier in the day…. My boy Jordan texts me and tells me about his recent dickfuck purchase…. He bought a prop from one of the original Batman movies…. he bought a Penguin from the Batman movie with Danny DeVito in it. lol

wake up early again, but got in 8 hours of un-interrupted sleep…. I see my boy Alchemist is on ustream from his airplane seat, so I decided to talk some shit….. he’s like YANGGG! YOU 1/2 JEWISH PIECE OF SHIT lol…. I retort and that’s how I speak to all my loved ones…
then me and my girl head over for some family time at my Mom’s shop….

As I have a flashback to my childhood when I used to be forced to go to Church every single sunday (fyi I hated church) I have a conversation with one of my old korean chingoo’s from k-town and he tells me a fucked up story…. typical Korean religious bullshit that could only happen to a religious korean family smh…. So his parents are getting a divorce because his mom over the last year has been giving this con man at their church (I believe he is the pastor too smh) who promised his mom that Jesus would come to their house and change their lives! My boy’s mom gave the guy almost 2 million dollars of their family’s life savings! 2 MILLION DOLLAR$$$$!!!!! Once his dad found out, he went bezerk and big time spazzed out! She said Jesus is really coming! what is wrong with you! So the dad said “If Jesus comes to our house on May 20th, I’ll forgive you” …. well Jesus never showed up smh…. I asked my boy this….. “real talk though, BUT WHAT IS JESUS REALLY CAME?” lol

anyways, we spend time with my entire family and I missed out on my boy Kai’s new store opening at Kingsbury on 3rd street…. “SHOP LIKE KINGS” sorry fam, I will definitely stop by today or tomorrow.

finally head over to my girls house and her mom cooked Chicken Adobo for me! man…

headed over to Yogurt Land to get right and end my night on a brighter note…. then headed back to the trap to clean up…. got restless and didn’t go to bed til 3:15am which is the latest I’ve been up in a few months…. but was up bright and early this morning at 8am!

next, I hit the 818 to see a doctor about my headaches…. he asked me if I smoked cannabis and I said, why? lol….. so after I left the docs, headed back to the westside to eat on sawtelle…. while waiting to be seated, I walked over to Giant Robot to see what be@rbricks they had in…. they had a few 100%’s. so I copped 1 why not. I asked my friend to pick one out… I was hoping for a tetris one or hello kitty one or the spongebob…. she chose the shittiest one of the bunch! smh lol…

anyways, after that we head to go see my boy Spencer who plays for the Bruins… it was UCLA vs USC the og cross town and internationally known rivalry…. the game was fun to check, but damn we got blown the fuck out. UCLA was never in the game really…. I mean we weren’t aggressive enough and it was just aggravating as hell. We did get free UCLA tees for sitting in our section



during half time, the ucla football coach said some inspiring words to try to get the crowd motivated…. and brought out their bowl game trophy and it might have got the crowd amped, but wasn’t enough for the players it seems….. I think we coulda beat them, but again, I must be bad luck because we just didn’t attack the hole at all!

pauley pavilion always brings back crazy memories of my childhood and dreams to one day play there, so I give it up to spencer(5’6″ asian american playing ball at a Div I school) PROPS HOMEY! and thank you for the tickets again! always appreciated.

so after the game, it was early evening and it was cold as a bitch outside(for LA lol) so I headed back home to figure out what I was gonna do for the evening and I didn’t want to stay in. I got a text from my homey’s that there was a DCMA event goin on and I knew if anything I had to show my face for sure. So I chilled at the crib for a lil bit and then headed out to the Roxy to see my fam….

After the DCMA show, I walked across the street to pay my respects to my fam and OG Mark Mahoney at his tattoo shop, he was the 1st person to ever tattoo me. he is basically GOD in the tattoo world. before there was cartoon or before almost anyone, there was Mark Mahoney, Jack Rudy and Freddy Negrete who ran the OG world of fine line black and gray tattoos… Mark has always been an amazing human being to me and has more class than any school or university does on this planet…. when you get an amazing tattoo from him, the tattoo is free, you’re paying for his company and the stories!
