Champagne & Furniture

July 11, 2012 ⋅ by Ben Baller ⋅ 25 comments

we’re like 90% finished with furnishing our new house… the bed room is done. bathrooms remodeled and done… London’s nursery/bedroom is done! (thank you again Tracy) and the upstairs bedroom/office is like almost done…. we’re rocking :)

after searching for nice bar stools that would match our dining table… I gave up and most of the decent ones were 8 weeks out for delivery…. and out of totally nowhere, Benji Madden comes through in the clutch and gives his to us! thanks Benj! (AMC) can’t believe they match! haha
so here’s some pics of the new KAWS 4ft companions in my crib! along with some champagne and all types of other shit…. relieved that our dining room is DONE! but now I just need to find 2 really fancy decanters for my bar cart and then we’re golden!

all we need is some new couches which are on the way…. then living room is done!
Interior Illusions in west hollywood is fucking dope! thank god for my wife who picked out most of the furniture…. now I have 4 total KAWS 4 ft companions…. still need a Brown OG and a Grey dissected. holler if you got a lead.

because Farfalla delivers….
I think I’m going to chill at home today and work on the CPU. it’s too hot outside anyways ;)

p.s. may all your pain be SHAMMM PAINNNN!
oh yeah, our backyard is gangster… need to have more bbq’s before the baby comes!

peace

Ur crib is mad regular and standard I though u had a mansion in the hills or something

  • Ben BallerJuly 11, 2012 2:58 pm

@j-kid no mansion. humble 7 figure crib next to justin bieber and sean kingston… hmm lol
and only about 1/2 a million in art and furniture. no debt. multi mills chillin in gold, multi mills chillin in various banks. what you working with though? I see cribs in the hills, no furniture swag, no real true art value other than framed posters… mad debt and no liquid assets. I’m leaving something for my son :)

I like your place because looks like a home; somewhere you can relax and be comfortable with your loved ones. Happy for you Ben. If most people did like you, they wouldn’t be in so much debt. Too many people be buying shit they can’t even afford! Love your blog Ben. Some people read your blog for pure entertainment but if you’re wise, you pick up the lesson in each message. You keep it real and you stay humble. Thanks for sharing your life with us. Congrats on the home, wife and baby. :)

Your home looks real cozy. Love how even though you brought in an interior designer, it still has touches of you in there. I like the coffee table, bar stools, and dining room set with rug… Then again, I have an obsession of Italian Modern Interior Design, that’s why I picked out those particular things.

Plus if you have a mansion, then you’ll be a slave to your mortgage or have a high risk of getting it foreclosed.

justin, the store in boston isn’t near brookline, MA is it? there is a clown on ebay who has been trying to sell a black dissected forever. hasn’t had 1 single successful legit auction and claims he has every color. I know he’s full of shit because he’s yet to tag a single pic and when its for that kind of money, you gotta tag. also. he’s using some old pics of mine and others on the kid robot forums… let me know if the grey dissected is at a cool price on they want to trade. I live off barter. thanks

everyone else, thanks. it’s just a chill spot and I still got my other spot, but my wife said 1. there is bad energy there. lol… and 2. it’s too bachelor paddish.

  • J-kidJuly 12, 2012 2:11 am

U took offence u clown when I didn’t mean it In that way at all just thought u could something a lil more grand. Definitely still a decent crib But I just meant I though u would have some fly m. I can’t spell for shyt so dunt juge me

Ben, how much are you looking to pay for the Kaws Grey dissected?

  • Ben BallerJuly 12, 2012 4:02 am

WW depends, you got one? I paid retail for 3 of my 4 footers. the other I paid a little on top. I know what they’re worth, but the thing is nobody has that kind of money. there are also so few lying around. I missed my chance on grabbing the grey dissected a year ago…
but if someone got one for around $7k or near that, we can talk. cats can try to sell for $10k but they won’t get it. why? because they don’t know where to go with it. this ain’t a quick flip sale unless you have that .05%
I know cats that would pay me over that $10k for mine. BUT I won’t sell them, hence why Kaws and the retailers who had these sold them to me for the low

I thought it would look a little bigger to but hey as long as you have your own built in pool your cool.

  • Neff FewJuly 12, 2012 2:22 pm

I don’t get how a 4 bedroom 2 story house is small? He showed us 2 rooms? Rofl how can you tell? Doo tell

  • trb919July 12, 2012 3:41 pm

I think he means that the rooms look small. The kitchen, dining room, and living room don’t look much bigger than their counterparts in the condo before. But that’s how it is on the nice parts of the Westside/Hollywood. Unless you want to spend $1.75M+ you’re not going to be living in a house that’s considered big (imo over 2,500 sf). Although he could’ve just kept the 7 series and used the Bentley $ on the house haha but everyone has their own priorities.

  • Ben BallerJuly 12, 2012 5:39 pm

naw, house is small…. condo was like 1300 sq feet, my new house is 2,300 square feet. but the front and back yard make a huge difference when walking the dog or having guests. but yeah, I ain’t even show the bedrooms and I won’t, but lol. I remember when Homicide had an acre of land with a 5,000 sq foot house, but he couldn’t live there anymore. he moved into something more cozy. 1.75? shit…. there’s cribs $4M+ easy around. it’s a game I will never get into. but commercial property? I’m about that.

  • WWJuly 13, 2012 4:42 am

@Ben Baller I’m in Japan and I saw it on an auction site. After currency conversion and shipping it’ll be around 9K so probably not what you’re looking for. If I come across it again in your price range, I’ll let you know.

The crib is mad nice…my house is about the same amount of sqft. but my backyard and front yard are not that big. The kitchen is solid. Bro, do yal have a patio outside? a nice setup out there would make for some memorable summer nights

nice place Ben. understated elegant. You had a post I read a while back (as in years) that referenced a book about the music industry. I believe you said this book gave a great deal of info for anyone wishing to start a label. If you could let me know the title of this book is I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

  • Ben BallerJuly 15, 2012 9:47 am

cel kim, “everything you wanted to know about the music business” I believe it’s by kashif, not sure of spelling, threw that book away when I exited for good.
pak, a back patio, front patio, good size backyard = where I had my baby shower with 60 folks outside in the back eating

  • Mr. A. VanceJuly 16, 2012 3:11 pm

Mr. Baller, congrats on getting the house in order before your son’s arrival (enjoy your homes decor now, as the baby will change that, lol)
I still feel that I would be a loyal/ hard working intern for you. I have studied you hustle for years and would be honored to wok for you. I know you haven’t mentioned if you are still considering an intern, but know that I would treat the opportunity with the respect it deserves.
    Thanks for your time.
    Mr. Vance

Could’ve got something like this for over 1mil

    http://thejasminebrand.com/index.php/2011/07/27/eve-sells-her-old-house-but-prepares-to-release-her-new-album-photos-included/

4,300 sq ft, 4 bed 4.5 bath in the hollywood hills

  • Ben BallerJuly 16, 2012 9:40 pm

tpot the actual sale price for Eve’s crib was $400k over a mill…. but more importantly, the area was shitty. way too far up and unaccessible to what I need. I’m not far from my store access wise and other things.

Clean looking place you got Ben. Can you share some info on the 20 bottle wine rack? Is it something you picked up locally or had customized? Thanks.
